Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team in Harlingen, Texas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds used in the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate Tool Room Equipment to fabricate, repair die components and perform die repair on the bench.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
- Perform in-press die repair and trouble shoot progressive tools.
- Reading CMM reports and interpret part print drawings.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, and other gauges to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to strict tolerances.
- Interpret technical schematics, schematics diagrams, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and electrical or mechanical drawings for accurate fabrication.
- Maintain detailed records of tooling fabrication processes, inspections, repairs, and modifications.
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School Education or equivalent
- Manufacturing Experience
- Precision form grinding, Wire EDM, polishing, TIG welding knowledge is a plus, but not required.
