Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting parts and materials to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as required. Warehouse and parts counter training are also included in this job to help assist teammates when neccasary.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or van to deliver parts to designated locations.
- Load and unload parts and materials, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Follow established routes and schedules for efficient delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Assist with inventory management as needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience with route driving and familiarity with local roads.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
- Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
