What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Service Manager/ Manager Trainee position at Atlantic Star Trailers?
This Position is to train the proper person to be the manager of the department in the near future.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the service department
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns
- Schedule and assign work orders to technicians
- Ensure timely completion of all repairs and maintenance tasks
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of parts and supplies
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards
- Train and mentor service department staff
- Develop and implement strategies to increase department efficiency and productivity
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of trailer repair processes
- Proficient in service writing and estimating for trailer repairs
- Experience with trailer maintenance
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
