Daily Maintenance Assistant/Forklift Operator

Atlantic Staffing Consultants is looking to hire a DMA (Daily Maintenance Assistant) Recycling Sorter for the Day Shift with Sit Down Forklift experience at a recycling facility in Raleigh, NC.

Duties of the Daily Maintenance Assistant/Forklift Operator:

• Complete the sit-down forklift certification process.

• Ensure the forklift is stored correctly, fueled, cleaned, maintained, and ready to operate daily.

• Sort and segregate recycled waste items (e.g., aluminum, plastic, paper, etc.) from incoming material.

• Deposit recoverable items safely and efficiently into appropriate chutes.

• Assist other employees on an as-needed basis with heavy or bulky items.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

• Inspect incoming loads for material that isn’t recyclable; remove unacceptable items as required.

• Clean assigned areas by sweeping, raking, and picking up broken glass and loose debris or moving barrels, cans, and bins.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements of the Daily Maintenance Assistant/Forklift Operator:

• 2 years of recent Sit Down Forklift experience

• Steel-toed shoes are required.

• Ability to lift 25-65 pounds safely.

• Able to stand for long periods without a break.

• Willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Pay & Hours of the Daily Maintenance Assistant/Forklift Operator:
6 AM - 6 PM
Monday - Friday 2 Saturdays a Month
Schedule is subject to change
Lots of Overtime 
$14.56 Per Hour / $21.84 Overtime Pay Rate
