What are the responsibilities and job description for the Band Saw Operator position at Atlantic Staffing Consultants?
Atlantic Staffing is looking for an experienced Band Saw Operator to join our client's day-shift production team that can start by 9/30/2026 for at least 4 weeks. This position could turn into a permanent full time position for the right candidate.
Schedule & Pay for the Band Saw Operator:
- Monday - Thursday
- 5:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- $20 an hour
This role involves operating a horizontal band saw, reading tape measures, blueprints, and performing heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. Sit Down Forklift use required.
Responsibilities of the Band Saw Operator:
- Operate horizontal band saw and prepare materials
- Measure and cut materials to spec
- Move materials throughout the shop using a Sit Down Forklift
- Maintain a safe, clean work area
- Follow safety, quality, and production requirements
Requirements of the Band Saw Operator:
- Dependable
- Able to follow instructions
- 1 year of shop or warehouse experience preferred
- Able to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Pass a tape measure test
- Physically able to lift 75 lbs, stand for long periods, and climb ladders in and out of containers.
- Must be 18
- Must wear required PPE provided by client: Eye protection, hearing protection and gloves.
- Provide your own Steel Toe Boots
- Forklift certification required - or be willing to obtain one.
