Job Summary
Atlantic Sintered is the leader in sintered metal gearing and structural components. We are looking for a hardworking, qualified employee to join our team as a Shipping Receiving Clerk on the 1st Shift. This role requires someone with attention to detail. Having previous experience within other areas of Shipping would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, work well within a team and have an understanding of commercial enterprise. Additionally, strong organization and computer skills are a must.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manages flow of information and paperwork for all outgoing and incoming shipments and inventory transactions. Enters information regarding inventory movements to ensure inventory records are accurate. Enters information on inventories moving to and from outside processing. Maintains accurate records of all shipping related transactions. Assists packers and shipper receivers as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following is a description of the duties and responsibilities of the Shipping Receiving Clerk (not limited to the following):
- Prints pick tickets for outgoing shipments
- Records all inventory bin to bin transfers (WIP to FG; FG to WIP; Bin to Bin)
- Processes all paperwork and computer entries for outgoing shipments to customers, including ASN’s, prints labels, Bill of Ladings, invoices, etc.
- Determines method of shipment and calls carriers to pick up shipments
- Correct inventory errors.
- Notifies Production of “missing parts”
- Complete inventory log for accounting
- List of parts that are ready but not picked up by carrier “still here”
- Other issues that may arise with customer shipments
- Back up for warehouse manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.45 - $26.80 per hour
