Junior Pricing & Data Analyst
Location: Long Branch, NJ

Position Summary
Atlantic Plumbing Supply is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Pricing & Data Analyst to support pricing strategy, product data management, and business reporting initiatives. This role will assist with maintaining accurate product pricing, analyzing sales and margin trends, monitoring market conditions, and supporting data-driven decision-making across purchasing, sales, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in Excel, enjoys working with large datasets, and is eager to develop a career in pricing, business analytics, and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Analysis
- Maintain and update customer, contractor, and vendor pricing within the ERP system.
- Assist with pricing reviews to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
- Analyze product costs, margins, rebates, and vendor promotions.
- Identify pricing discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Generate pricing reports for management review.
Market & Business Analysis
- Analyze sales trends and customer purchasing patterns.
- Conduct competitive pricing research and market comparisons.
- Assist with forecasting and profitability analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and inventory performance.
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting teams.
- Support vendor cost updates and product launches.
- Provide analytical support for strategic projects and process improvements.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting requests from leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with ERP systems, distribution software, or business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with wholesale distribution, supply chain, plumbing, HVAC, or construction industries.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or data visualization tools.
- Internship or entry-level experience in data analysis, pricing, purchasing, or finance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods.
- Occasional visits to warehouse or branch operations as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
