Senior Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift
Location: Metro Milwaukee, WI

Pay: $40-$50 p/h
Position Overview
A growing manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician III to support production machinery and facility systems.
This is a senior-level, hands-on maintenance position responsible for tackling the plant’s more complex equipment breakdowns and reliability issues. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience with PLCs, drives, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC/fabrication equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain equipment including mills, routers, saws, turret punches, and custom machinery.
- Diagnose electrical control circuits, motors, drives, PLC-controlled equipment, and related systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment reliability improvements.
- Identify root causes of recurring failures and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding as needed for equipment repairs and fabrication.
- Coordinate specialized repairs with outside contractors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment status to Production.
- Support spare-parts organization and critical component inventory.
- Assist with facility systems including electrical, plumbing, and compressed-air equipment as needed.
- Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
- Experience diagnosing electrical controls, drives, motors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience repairing production machinery and automated equipment.
- MIG and TIG welding experience.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve difficult equipment problems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work regularly on the manufacturing floor.
