About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead and coordinate all plant maintenance activities at a manufacturing facility in Devens, MA. This role is critical in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

You will oversee maintenance teams, manage preventive maintenance programs, and drive continuous improvement across all systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the plant maintenance program, including preventive maintenance scheduling and execution
• Supervise and direct maintenance teams across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and fabrication functions
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate repairs, inspections, installations, and upgrades
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to support maintenance projects
• Monitor and analyze maintenance data to drive continuous improvement
• Manage maintenance budgets, track spending, and control costs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations
• Participate in and support plant safety initiatives and committees
• Oversee inventory, parts, and purchasing processes, including maintenance systems (MP-2)
• Assign work based on technician skills and ensure quality and timely completion of projects
• Support training initiatives and assist with startup or support of other plant locations as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3 years of leadership or management experience
• Direct experience within the corrugated/packaging industry is required
• Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical maintenance (AC/DC motor controls, wiring, troubleshooting)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS platforms
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards (OSHA, etc.)

Preferred:

• Experience with steam boilers
• Post-secondary education (technical or related field)
