Director of Product Management

Location: Hybrid (New York Metro Preferred)

Overview

Our client, a leading provider of financial technology solutions, is seeking an experienced Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, development, and execution of enterprise software products serving the financial services industry.

This leadership role will partner closely with engineering, sales, operations, client services, and executive leadership to deliver innovative software solutions that address evolving client needs while driving business growth.

The ideal candidate combines deep product management expertise with experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software within capital markets, wealth management, asset management, banking, or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap
• Lead the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and ongoing enhancements
• Collaborate with engineering and UX teams to prioritize features and deliver high-quality products
• Gather client feedback and translate market requirements into actionable product initiatives
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
• Prioritize product investments based on customer value and business objectives
• Partner with sales and marketing on product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
• Define KPIs and measure product success using data-driven insights
• Build relationships with strategic customers and executive stakeholders
• Manage product backlogs and Agile development processes
• Mentor and develop Product Managers while fostering a culture of innovation
• Work cross-functionally across technology, operations, compliance, implementation, and customer success

Qualifications

• 10 years of Product Management experience
• 5 years leading enterprise software or SaaS products
• Financial services or FinTech experience required
• Experience building B2B software products
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience managing product roadmaps and product portfolios
• Ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent executive presentation and communication abilities
