Responsibilities:
- Stock, arrange, and maintain an attractive and well-organized fresh fish display case
- Monitor product freshness, rotation, and proper icing of all seafood items
- Assist customers with seafood selection, preparation tips, and product knowledge
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in the seafood department
- Operate and clean seafood department equipment including slicers, scales, and knives
- Prior experience in a seafood department, fish market, or related food service role preferred
- Knowledge of fresh fish and seafood varieties, handling, and preparation techniques
- Strong knife skills and comfort with filleting and portioning seafood
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper temperature control (ServSafe a plus)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed
Salary : $17 - $21
