The responsibilities of the MRI Technical Aide II include, but are not limited to:
Prepares charts, registers, and reschedules patients;
Optimizes patient schedules by adjusting appointment times for best utilization of operating hours, ensuring patients are scheduled appropriately to limit time of service delays and cancelations;
Reviews all MRI patient schedules, executes the task list to obtain all necessary implant information to ensure patient can have the requested MRI study or testing;
Calls the patient to collect implant information and calls outside providers and hospital systems to get implant and surgical history information;
Demonstrates clear, direct, and sensitive communication with patients, providers, and other external stakeholders;
Clearly communicates with AMI team members to ensure all are aware of current patient or appointment status;
Ensures clear and appropriate documentation in respective platforms;
Maintains HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of the role;
Communicates and documents all implant information clearly;
Takes patient history and processes paperwork;
Monitors the patient in the clinical area when the technologist is elsewhere;
Assists the technologist with patient care;
Greeting patients and escorting patients to the changing area, providing gown instructions;
Safely enters and completes work responsibilities within the MRI area;
Assists patients with wheelchairs and dressing as needed; and
Performs other duties as assigned.
This full time, 40 hour per week position will provide coverage in the Egg Harbor Township/Black Horse Pike (BHP), Bayport/Corporate, and Galloway office locations.
The work schedule is as follows:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Schedules and locations are subject to change based on business needs.
Eligible candidates have a high school diploma, or equivalent, some healthcare related college coursework is preferred. A current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Candidates must have intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn new programs and workflows. Well-developed customer service and interpersonal skills, along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this role. Candidates must be highly organized with the ability to manage competing tasks and requests.
