Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the organization’s accounting department. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with payment processing, and providing general accounting support.
Accounts Payable Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for payment.
- Verify invoice accuracy and obtain proper approvals before payment.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely.
- Maintain vendor files and records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounts payable records.
- Assist with daily bank deposits and other accounting administrative tasks as needed.
- Run occasional local errands, including bank deposits, interoffice deliveries, and other business-related trips as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a satisfactory driving record, and have reliable transportation for occasional business- related travel.
Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field
OR
- high school graduate or equivalent with 2 years prior office experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
