The Foreman will be responsible for all daily duties that involve the oversight of successful and timely construction. The Foreman should be a dependable, detail oriented & responsive individual able to work in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to provide a positive work environment. The Foreman will coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project and lead the construction team in the production of quality work that meets cost, time and quality goals while meeting or exceeding the customer’s expectations.
Marine construction focuses on anything built along the shoreline. Common structures for this type of construction include bulkheads, seawalls, retaining walls, revetments, docks, piers, boat lifts, etc.
Construction of marine/heavy civil scopes of work includes pile driving, concrete formwork, and heavy lifts.
Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures while performing job duties.
Candidate must have reliable transportation to office/maintenance facility, transportation to and from job site provided. Candidate must communicate well with others, be versatile, have a positive attitude, and be reliable on a daily basis for attendance to work (typical work week is Monday-Friday 7-3:30 but can include up to 2 hours travel each way). Candidate will be working in and around water on bulkheads, piers, docks, and pilings. Carpentry, barge work and machine operating skills are a plus. Year-round employment security is assured. Candidate must be able to perform daily physical labor and work well in a team environment.
Candidates must be capable of working outside or on the water in variable climates, traversing large active construction sites, and working around welding, cutting, grinding, marine vessels, heavy equipment, cranes, dirt, dust, noise, and vibrations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, arms, shoulders, legs, reach with hands and arms and verbally communicate clearly. The employee is sometimes required to climb or balance. Ability to lift and or carry 50 lbs.
This is hard detail-oriented work that is for people that like the satisfaction of building the best product they can. Competent workers will be given overtime options and additional pay based on performance.

SKILLS NEEDED:
Carpentry skills and basic knowledge in the safe use of power tools, such as drills and saws, are necessary.
Must have a good attitude and good work ethic.
Moderate experience welding steel and aluminum is a plus. Field welding experience desired but not required.
Boater’s license desired but not required.
Hydrologic license and hoisting license is a plus.
Qualifications:
Dock building, pile driving, concrete, hydraulic equipment operation experience a plus.
Ability to swim.
Team Player.
Problem solver.
Ability to work outdoors in varied temperatures.
Some heavy lifting is required.
Ability to operate a wide range of hand and power tools.
Prior Construction and rigging experience preferred.
Captains License preferred.
Carpentry, barge work, machine skills preferred.
