What You’ll Do:
- Create engaging, well-organized lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skill development.
- Prepare art materials and studio spaces in advance to ensure smooth and productive class periods.
- Build a positive, respectful classroom culture where students are actively engaged and feel valued.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback that supports artistic growth and confidence.
- Design instruction aligned with district curriculum and standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of student interests, abilities, and learning styles.
- Scaffold learning experiences so all students can access challenging and enriching art opportunities.
- Maintain a safe, well-managed, and organized art classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community.
- Engage in professional growth through district-supported and self-directed learning opportunities.
- Perform non-instructional duties as assigned.

- Iowa teaching licensure with endorsement in Visual Arts (or ability to obtain).
