What You’ll Do:

• Create engaging, well-organized lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skill development.

• Prepare art materials and studio spaces in advance to ensure smooth and productive class periods.

• Build a positive, respectful classroom culture where students are actively engaged and feel valued.

• Provide timely, constructive feedback that supports artistic growth and confidence.

• Design instruction aligned with district curriculum and standards.

• Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of student interests, abilities, and learning styles.

• Scaffold learning experiences so all students can access challenging and enriching art opportunities.

• Maintain a safe, well-managed, and organized art classroom.

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community.

• Engage in professional growth through district-supported and self-directed learning opportunities.

• Perform non-instructional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Iowa teaching licensure with endorsement in Visual Arts (or ability to obtain).

• A positive, organized, and student-focused mindset.

• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

• A commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.
