The ideal candidate has experience with vacuum trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hydro excavation (HydroVac) trucks and associated equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform daylighting, trenching, and potholing to expose underground utilities
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and clients on-site
- Complete required job documentation, including daily logs and safety reports
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and hazard-free
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required [Class A or B, as applicable]
- Previous experience operating HydroVac or similar heavy equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and underground utility practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and excavation standards
- Experience working in construction, utilities, or oil & gas industries
- Mechanical aptitude for minor equipment troubleshooting
