Responsible for ensuring successful academic and personal development of licensed practical nursing students through clinical instruction.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provides clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
- Creates a clinical environment which fosters students' academic growth and guides professional development.
- Prepares student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintains accurate and timely attendance records, and evaluates student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
- Implements evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
- Maintains professional qualifications through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training and academic courses.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in acute care or relevant area.
- BSN, BLS, or ACLS required.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- CCRN preferred
- Trauma Certification preferred
Salary : $40 - $70
