About The Team
Atlantic Health System offers outpatient nutrition services designed to help patients achieve a healthy, satisfying, and sustainable way of eating that fits individual lifestyles and food preferences. Our teams of registered dietitians are experts in medical nutrition therapy, diabetes education, preventative medicine, behavioral change strategies, adult and child weight management, integrative medicine and mindfulness training, and the latest nutrition research. With the aid of these tactics, they provide one-on-one nutrition counseling for patients looking to manage an existing condition or those who want to be proactive about their health.
Responsible for working with nutritionists to improve patient's well-being by providing dietary support. Provides nutritional care and follows up with patients. Communicates patient's nutritional information appropriately to other health professionals.
Principal Accountabilities
- Coordinates patient's meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
- Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
- Assists with meal selections while taking into consideration cultural and/or religious preferences.
- Monitors patient meal tickets- this includes reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet order.
- Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of prior experience.
- Prior experience in a call center other healthcare setting preferred.
