What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Technician II - Desktop Support position at Atlantic Health System?
Overview:
This is a level II helpdesk position supporting our headquarters building.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to lift up to sixty pounds.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Manage help desk calls and assign to PC Support staff in a timely manner.
- Generate purchase requisitions for necessary equipment dealing with vendors to obtain specifications, pricing and part numbers. Turn over weekly all requisitions to PC Support Manager.
- Coordinate and assign resources for all projects. Work directly with other I/S personnel to meet objectives.
- Provide status reports to the PC Support Manager.
- Provide written documentation for software installations to include directions for other specialists.
- Provide timely resolution to all assigned calls and or tasks.
- Act as an ambassador of the department dealing with all of our customers in a professional manner.
- Approves and allocates service recovery where applicable
- Ability to resolve all PC related issues through acquired knowledge or guidance from a vendor resource.
- Interact with the CSC to assure timely closure to all assigned tasks.
- Interact with all other ISS staff members to achieve successful implementation and maintenance of organizational hardware and software.
- Answer all email, voice mail, pages and written documents in a timely manner.
- Associates Degree, technical degree or equivalent work experience
- MCP and MCDST Certification (Win 10) highly preferred
- 2/3 years in PC Support.
- 2/3 years system implementation and applicable system support preferred
- Required Skills
- Knowledge of the Windows Operating Systems.
- Working knowledge of healthcare terminology.
