Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Finance Associate (Fund Accounting & Reporting) in Boston, MA, with our client. In this hybrid role, you’ll support fund accounting, financial reporting, and portfolio analytics across private credit and alternative investments. You’ll work with fund administrators, auditors, and Investor Relations while using investment accounting systems and Excel. Ideal for professionals with fund partnership accounting experience seeking a data-driven, process-focused role.
Responsibilities as the Senior Finance Associate:
- Fund Accounting & Reporting: Complete monthly reconciliations and support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation with fund administrators and auditors.
- Expense & Fee Management: Manage fund operating expenses, including management fees, incentive fees, and other fund-level costs.
- Treasury & Cash Management: Support cash movements, trade settlements, and liquidity assessments across funds.
- Capital Activity: Prepare and review partnership allocations, capital calls, distributions, and other capital-related activity.
- Investor & Internal Reporting: Deliver data-driven insights for Investor Relations and assist with management reports, dashboards, and internal analyses.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 2-5 years of public or private accounting experience with exposure to credit, private funds, investment accounting systems, or reporting tools.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and financial reporting capabilities, with experience in investment performance reporting preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Fund partnership accounting experience required, with credit, fund-of-funds, or series LP structures preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical team player with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
