Job Overview – Fund Accountant (Registered Funds)

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000/year bonus

Location: Stamford, CT

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accountant (Registered Funds) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting fund accounting, NAV oversight, and financial reporting within an investment management environment. In this role, you will review daily NAV calculations, support SEC reporting, and assist with audits and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate has experience with registered funds, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and third-party administrators to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Responsibilities as the Fund Accountant (Registered Funds):

• NAV Oversight: Review daily NAV calculations prepared by third-party administrators to ensure accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements.
• SEC Reporting: Support regulatory filings and disclosures in compliance with reporting requirements.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide documentation for audits and reviews.
• Tax Coordination: Assist with tax schedules and collaborate with external providers for year-end reporting.
  
  

Qualifications for the Fund Accountant (Registered Funds):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in financial services, including public accounting or fund accounting environments, is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fund accounting, NAV calculations, and registered fund structures is preferred, with ETF experience as a plus.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting systems is required.
• Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
