Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Reporting Manager (Temporary) in Boston, MA for our client, supporting financial reporting, audit coordination, tax compliance, and accounting operations within a complex healthcare environment. This temporary opportunity will partner closely with accounting, finance, treasury, and leadership teams to oversee financial reporting, support month-end close activities, maintain accounting policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial reporting experience, a CPA designation, and expertise in accounting, audit, and compliance functions.
Responsibilities as the Financial Reporting Manager (Temporary):
- Financial Reporting Leadership: Oversee internal and external financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and organizational requirements.
- Audit Management: Serve as the primary liaison to external auditors, coordinate audit activities, and support the successful completion of annual audits and related engagements.
- Tax Compliance: Manage nonprofit tax reporting activities, including federal, state, and informational filings while coordinating with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Month-End Close Oversight: Lead month-end reporting activities, partner with accounting and finance teams, and ensure the integrity of financial close processes.
- Controls & Policy Development: Maintain accounting policies, strengthen internal controls, identify process improvements, and support risk management initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leadership and operational teams to support reporting requirements, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, and special projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, and a master’s degree is preferred.
- Certification: Active CPA designation is required.
- Experience: 7 years of experience in financial reporting, external audit, tax compliance, or corporate accounting is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with nonprofit accounting, tax filings, audit coordination, and multi-entity accounting structures is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, and financial reporting tools is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, improve processes, and collaborate effectively across departments are required.
