Atlantic Group is hiring a Director of Strategic Insights & Analytics in Boston, MA for our client, supporting enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and strategic decision-making for a high-growth consumer business. This leadership role combines hands-on analytical work with team management, driving proactive insights that shape business strategy while developing a high-performing analytics function. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and experience partnering with executive stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities as the Director of Strategic Insights & Analytics:
- Strategic Analytics: Lead the development of forward-looking analyses that identify emerging business trends, risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers to support executive decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts while establishing analytical priorities, maintaining quality standards, and fostering professional growth.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with senior leaders across finance, operations, commercial, and functional teams to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Performance Measurement: Design and refine key performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that improve visibility into business performance and support strategic planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with analytics, data, and technology teams to align reporting methodologies, improve data quality, and ensure consistent business insights.
- Process Improvement: Strengthen analytical capabilities, optimize reporting processes, and support organizational initiatives that enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 8 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, strategy, consulting, finance, or a related field with progressive leadership responsibility is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting consumer products, retail, eCommerce, or other data-driven commercial organizations with strong business and P&L acumen is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with analytics and business intelligence tools is required, and experience with SQL, Power BI, Databricks, or similar cloud-based analytics platforms is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and change management skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, and translate complex data into strategic business insights.
