Job Overview – Director of Construction Operations:

Compensation: $250,000 – $275,000/year Bonus

Location: Mid-Atlantic Region

A prominent construction organization is seeking an experienced Director of Construction Operations to lead and mentor teams across all construction verticals. This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on, field-oriented professional who has experience in General Contracting or Builder/Developer environments. The Director will serve as the operational bridge between field activities and executive leadership, ensuring clear communication and execution across all project stages.

Responsibilities as the Director of Construction Operations:

• Field Leadership & Oversight: Lead construction operations across all active projects, acting as the primary point of contact between the field and executive leadership.
• Team Management & Hiring: Oversee recruitment, training, and management of all construction personnel, ensuring team performance and development.
• Project Execution: Ensure all construction activities align with quality, schedule, and budget expectations, with an emphasis on accurate field reporting and accountability.
• Communication & Reporting: Serve as a direct liaison to the C-Suite, delivering clear updates based on field conditions, not just documentation.
• Scope Management: Oversee base building construction efforts, coordinating effectively with construction teams to maintain project continuity.
  
  

Qualifications for the Director of Construction Operations:

• Experience: 12-20 years of construction experience with required general contracting exposure.
• Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of field operations, sequencing, and project delivery in complex, multi-phase construction.
