Job Overview – Accounts Payable (Manufacturing):
Compensation: $55,000 – $60,000/year
Location: Burlington County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Our client is hiring an Accounts Payable specialist in Burlington County, NJ, to manage high-volume accounts payable operations, vendor communications, and daily billing activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an accounting professional skilled in invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and billing management, driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency across AP workflows.
Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable:
- Invoice & Payment Processing: Manage high-volume invoice processing, ACH payments, and check runs to ensure timely disbursements.
- Vendor Reconciliation: Resolve invoice discrepancies, manage vendor statements, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Expense & Billing Operations: Process employee expense reports and manage daily billing by verifying shipping documents and issuing invoices.
- Debit & Credit Memos: Handle debit and credit memo processing for vendor and customer transactions.
- Month-End Support: Prepare accrual journal entries and assist with 1099 preparation for year-end reporting.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and billing in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: 3 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably within manufacturing.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong data entry skills, ERP experience, and familiarity with accounts payable and invoice automation systems preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of billing processes, vendor management, and manufacturing accounting procedures is preferred.
