Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Overtime is available
- No rotating shifts
- Paid holidays (no waiting period)

- Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed.
- Specialty work on fire trucks and ambulances
- Assisting the Service Center Manager with planning, scheduling, performing, directing, and evaluating the maintenance and repair of fire and emergency apparatuses.
- Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains fire and emergency equipment.
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose discrepancies.
- Dismantle, repair, reassemble vehicles or equipment utilizing hand tools and hoists.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using precision measuring equipment.
- Repair, rebuild, overhaul, replace defective assemblies and components such as collector gear boxes, transfer cases, differentials, and both water or hydraulic pumps.
- Test overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency.
- Weld broken parts and structural members.
What We’re Looking For
- Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
- Team players who also work well independently
- People who like variety and solving problems
- This role includes standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing.
- The position involves exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, odors, grease, and occasional outdoor weather.
