Warehouse/Delivery Associate – Electrical Contractor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse/Delivery Associate to support our electrical contracting operations. This dual-role position involves maintaining an organized warehouse, preparing materials and tools for field crews, and delivering supplies to various job sites in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong organizational skills, a clean driving record, and a basic understanding of electrical materials. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Duties (Approx. 50%):

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using digital systems.
• Organize and label stock in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
• Prepare job site material packages based on work orders or material takeoffs.
• Track tool check-outs and returns; report missing or damaged equipment.
• Perform routine safety and equipment inspections.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and shipments.

Delivery Duties (Approx. 50%):

• Deliver electrical materials, tools, and equipment to job sites using company vehicles.
• Ensure all deliveries are verified, accurate, and signed for by authorized personnel.
• Maintain a delivery log and report any discrepancies or delays.
• Operate company vehicles safely
• Communicate with job site foremen regarding material needs or substitutions.
• Conduct minor material pickups from supply houses as needed.

Qualifications:

• Candidates with prior electrical experience or knowledge of electrical materials will be strongly prioritized.
• Basic understanding of electrical materials (e.g., conduit, fittings, wire types) is a strong plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• CDL is a plus, but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse or delivery experience; construction or electrical industry preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• All applicants must pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check prior to employment.

Work Environment:

• Primarily warehouse and outdoor job site environments.
• Exposure to weather conditions and construction-related hazards.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for long periods.
