Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Laborer/finish person to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting and installation services in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a passion for craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a clean and professional finish.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the scope of work required.
- Install fixtures and perform minor repairs related to painting tasks.
- Restore and maintain various surfaces including stucco and plaster.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and handymen to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and materials after use.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial construction.
- Proficiency in fixture installation and basic maintenance person skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and painting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality finishes.
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have transportation and preferrably equipment.
