Global Energy Center - Fall 2026 Young Global Professionals Program

ATLANTIC COUNCIL OF THE U S INC
Washington, DC Intern
POSTED ON 5/11/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/11/2026

The Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center (GEC) develops and promotes pragmatic and nonpartisan policy solutions designed to advance global energy security, enhance economic opportunity, and accelerate pathways to net-zero emissions. Our Young Global Professionals (YGPs) provide important research and logistical support to the Center. This position will expose the candidate to the logistical elements of event-planning, think tank operations, research, and our publications process.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the work, an entrepreneurial ethos, and a collegial spirit while also being an effective communicator. With a work culture of constant learning, the GEC values strong writing skills and attention to detail, and the ability to produce rigorous work under deadlines. Demonstrated interest in international affairs and/or energy and climate through class work or  experience is strongly preferred.

This internship is based in our Washington, DC headquarters. Candidates must be available to work in-person throughout the duration of the program. Interns will be paid at a rate of $18.50 per hour.
