Senior Staff Accountant

Atlantic Comfort Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified Senior Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Financial team. The Senior Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for a range of general accounting tasks. This role requires impeccable communication, precise financial skills, and a solid commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, including the monthly close process. This involves preparing and recording journal entries, month-end accruals, and reconciliations.
• Provide support on budgeting and forecasting tasks, offering insights and analyses to support management decisions.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Review and process expense reports and monitor company credit card charges, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Work closely with the payroll department to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and reported.
• Assist with special projects as needed, such as process improvements, software implementations, and internal audit tasks.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline required. A CPA or higher is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with a major ERP system is a plus.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to address and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a capacity to interact professionally with all levels within the company.
• A proven track record in meeting deadlines, multitasking and prioritizing workload, and adapting to change in a fast-paced environment.
