Overview/Function: The Warehouse Specialist's role is to ensure customer orders are fulfilled. Major Responsibilities:
- Move product throughout the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
- Safely utilize material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
- Conduct order fulfillment tasks (pulling product, builder orders, stocking trucks, rotation inventory, etc.).
- Count and inspect product; ensure accurate reports. Help to resolve order discrepancies.
- Minimize damaged products.
- Comply with all safety procedures. Maintain clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
- Ethical conduct is expected at all times.
- Other duties as required.
Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and follow directions and work orders.
- Ability to follow all safety requirements/protocols.
- Good team-player.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
- Positive, helpful attitude.
- Some light computer experience is helpful.
Additional:
- This position is very active and requires the employee to frequently lift and/or move items up to 55 lbs. (Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury.)
- Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The role is considered a safety sensitive position.
- To accomplish their tasks, the position will work in a warehouse environment in which the temperate is unregulated and dependent upon outdoor temperatures.
- Work hours: Typically 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. (until all orders are built for the next days deliveries is complete), Monday-Friday. Some occasional weekend or off-shift work may be needed.
