Title: Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes, and assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and experience using QuickBooks.
Examples of duties include:
- Performing monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Recording daily financial transactions in QuickBooks
- Processing accounts payable and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time
- Managing accounts receivable, including collections on overdue accounts
- Preparing month-end and year-end financial reports
- Posting journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
- Verifying transactions are accurately recorded within the appropriate ledgers
- Bringing company books to the trial balance stage
- Processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Completing tax forms and maintaining financial records
- Generating financial statements and management reports
- Maintaining organized accounting documentation and records
Administrative & Systems Support
This position also works closely with company software systems and supports the accounting department with reporting and compliance.
Examples of duties include:
- Working with third-party work order systems
- Managing field service software that integrates with QuickBooks
- Assisting the company accountant with audits and financial reporting
- Maintaining accurate digital and physical financial records
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with financial reporting and month-end close
- Payroll processing experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with integrated accounting or ERP software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Required Skills:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Minimum of 1 year of QuickBooks Online experience
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm
Salary: $45,000-55,000 annually. Commensurate with experience.
