The role of the Area Director is one of guidance, direction, and support. The Area Director is ultimately responsible for the overall guidance of the locations within their Area. The Area Director must be motivational and progressive with actions and commitments towards the companies established goals, with further responsibility for understanding and appreciating set organizational and regional policies and expectations. The Area Director’s time is spent supporting their region’s General Managers with guidance in local government relationships, pricing strategies, budget issues, business plans, and contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and airport authorities.

General Duties:- Oversees multiple base operations and foster a work culture based on Atlantic values, with an emphasis on safety.
- Representation of Atlantic Aviation in a professional and positive manner.
- Continuous application and reinforcement of the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude”
- Compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Communication of work progress and significant issues with regional and corporate management.
- Accountable for the adherence to Atlantic standards by all bases within Area.
Administrative/Financial:
- Budget and strategic planning oversight and variance reviews, including Capital Expenditures.
- Conduct detailed reviews of base financials to include monthly variance reports and analysis and evaluation of the following: EBITDA, gross profit, fuel volume, landings/visit, monthly monitoring, labor, future growth potential, rent, fuel pricing , fuel margin, area or competitor’s’ fuel price, year over year.
- Lends HR support including Staff Development, Mentoring and Guidance
- Oversees Contract Compliance which includes Airport Leases, Addendums to U&O’s, OFAC & other compliance related responsibilities, site specific pricing, etc. Confirms Federal, State, Local and Environmental Compliance.
- Supports corporate inquiries on base’s operation and financial performance.
- Assists in accounts receivables collections as needed.
- Fluency in FlightDeck Reporting
Operations:
- Conducts periodic inspections of base(s) for safety and compliance.
- Participates in investigations of safety and/or other occurrences within Region to mitigate exposure.
- Reviews staffing, scheduling, and other HR issues.
- Reviews inventory control and security measures.
- Liaison between Base and Corporate Leadership.
- Negotiation of sub-tenant leases.
- Expense control and guidance.
- Conduct regular and consistent site visits to understand the cultural and anomalies of each base.
- Assist your regional sales manager with customer segmentation and the identification of new customer prospects
- Strategic planning for market share, future developments, opportunities and potential threats.
- Assist GM with customer relations.
- Interface with Business Development and Marketing groups in to develop & pursue leads for new opportunities. (Acquisitions and Global Customers, etc.)
- Direct liaison between Airport Authorities and Business Development regarding lease creation and renewals.
- Ensures that the General Manager(s) are developing the local management and staff of the respective bases.
- Support the GM on staffing decisions and changes as needed.
- Recognize and develop key employees within the Region.
- Establish Leadership Development of within the bases
Required Skills and Qualifications
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or University, preferably in Business
- Administration, Aviation Management, or related field of study.
- At least fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in FBO Management, the aviation/airline industry, or the equivalent in a service-related field.
- Demonstrated financial, administrative and management capability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, using the English language
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Be able to pass extensive background check.
- Aptitude in managing and developing staff.
- Basic proficiency in use of MS Office applications
- Flexible work schedule may include extended workdays, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
- Travel Required.
Salary : $98,900 - $125,000
