Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Lot Attendant/Valet/Porter to support vehicle movement and organization within our high-traffic dealership. This position plays a key role in maintaining an orderly and efficient lot, assisting with vehicle deliveries, and ensuring a smooth experience for our customers and service teams.
We are looking for someone who is presentable, capable of multitasking, creative and has integrity. This is an excellent way to get your foot in Automotive Industry. Casual dress is appropriate; however, if you like to wear your pants with your unmentionables showing, do not apply.
The Lot Attendant/Valet/Porter will work with vendors and stage vehicles for prep, photography, and delivery. Additional duties include organizing vehicles to maximize space, retrieving vehicles from storage, and preparing them for service. This individual must be courteous and professional and demonstrate strong driving skills with both automatic and manual transmissions.
The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and a valid and clean NY driver’s license. Candidates must be especially courteous, as they are in constant contact with customers. However, their foremost skills need to be the safe driving of automobiles of diverse types.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner; assist with vehicle parking
- Safely drive customer vehicles to designated locations
- Jump-start vehicles as needed
- Ensure keys and remotes are stored properly and securely
- Transport vehicles between dealership lots and storage or prep locations
- Inspect vehicles in the lot and report any damage or concerns to a supervisor.
- Maintain clean and debris-free parking and drop-off areas
- Assist with light janitorial duties as assigned

Prepare vehicles for service or delivery by:
- Installing protective mats and plastic covers
- Creating key tags
- Moving vehicles from drop-off areas to service bays
- Keep the service area organized for easy vehicle access
- Retrieve serviced vehicles for customer pick-up
- Comply with all safety, environmental, and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
- Possess a valid, clean New York State driver’s license
- Capable of operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions precisely.
- Demonstrates strong judgment and awareness of vehicle safety
- Highly organized with good attention to detail
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Outgoing and professional demeanor with strong communication skills
- Able to work outdoors and in non-climate-controlled environments
