Job Description
The Used Sales Manager supervises the sales team to increase sales volume and sales efficiency. He/she ensures the dealership meets vehicle sales quotas through expert management and leadership of the sales team, by forecasting sales, and by maintaining proper inventory levels in terms of amount and vehicle types. In addition, the Manager helps hire, train, and monitor team member performance and accountability; resolves customer complaints; and manages all aspects of showroom activities.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of automotive sales management experience. Candidates must have a strong business acumen and sales aptitude and a willingness to accept full accountability for sales targets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong leadership and motivational skills are essential.

Responsibilities
- Evaluates the effectiveness of advertising
- Develops viable sales forecasts and associated sales strategies by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
- Establishes sales quotas and manages overall sales goals
- Combines customer service skills with a strong close
- Trains, manages, and directs sales team so that they can meet goals and quotas
- Ensures all sales targets are met or exceeded
- Manages inventory in terms of display, pricing, and aging
- Provides timely and accurate reports on all sales activities as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Two years of automotive sales management experience
- Must possess strong people skills in order to train, manage, and direct the sales team so they can meet goals and quotas
- Must be able to combine customer service skills with a strong close
- Must be a "people person" but still know how to control the deal
- Must have strong computer and internet skills, including experience / skills with a CRM system
- Must have a good grasp of internet processes and understand how to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising
- Must be able to pass a drug test, license and motor vehicle record check, and background check
