Reading Specialist/Wardlaw Program
Start Date: August 2026
- A master’s degree or commensurate experience in learning disabilities, reading, speech-language pathology, or special education from an accredited university.
- Training in at least one multi-sensory reading method.
- Practicum experience in the multi-sensory reading method.
- An ability to develop, plan, and implement curriculum using a variety of resources.
- Experience with elementary-aged students.
- Three exceptional references.
The reading specialist, in collaboration with a classroom teacher, designs and implements a curriculum using research-based methodologies. To address the underpinnings of dyslexia, our teachers use an oral-to-written-to-oral language approach, so that students leave us as capable and confident writers and speakers. With our small class size (9-10 students) and collaborative model, our teachers can differentiate instruction to meet students' needs.
SALARY: Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
