What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Atlanta Paint Disposal?
We're looking for someone who can walk into a 56,000 sqft facility and make it run better.
[Atlanta] Paint Disposal is a growing paint recycling and disposal company expanding from our Atlanta roots into a nationwide operation. Our Anniston, AL facility is the hub — 7 loading docks, 2 drive-in bays, and a whole lot of paint that needs to be sorted, processed, and moved efficiently.
Right now, the work gets done — but it's more muscle than method. We need someone who looks at a process and sees a better way. Someone who's built things, fixed things, and managed a shop floor. If you were the shop teacher everyone respected, the maintenance guy who could fabricate a solution on the spot, or the plant supervisor who actually got their hands dirty — keep reading.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own the day-to-day production flow at the Anniston facility
- Look at how we sort, process, store, and ship paint — then make it faster, safer, and smarter
- Build jigs, fixtures, workstations, or whatever's needed to eliminate wasted effort
- Manage a small crew and keep things moving without drama
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot problems before they become emergencies
- Help us scale — what works for 4,000 gallons needs to work for 40,000
WHO YOU ARE:
- Hands-on problem solver — you'd rather build it than buy it
- Experience running a shop, warehouse, production line, or maintenance operation
- Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and common sense
- You see a bottleneck and it bothers you until you fix it
- Can manage people without micromanaging them
- Physically capable — this is a real job, not a desk job
- Bonus: welding, fabrication, mechanical repair, forklift certified

- Someone who needs to be told what to do every day
- Someone who's only managed from a clipboard
