As a Teacher, you are critical to our ministry by being responsible for all aspects of the care & education for the children enrolled in his/her class.
We are looking to fill the following schedule:
Part Time, up to 25 hours per week
Monday-Friday 8am-2:30pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Classroom Management

Establish a child-centered, safe learning environment following prescribed guidelines.

Plan and implement a flexible daily schedule learning, enrichment and recreational activities based on the developmental needs of children.

Develop and implement lesson plans using the prescribed curriculum that meet the emotional, social, physical, spiritual and cognitive needs of both the individual child and group while keeping the center’s educational goals and beliefs.

Interact with children at their level both physically and intellectually.

Use appropriate positive discipline and classroom management following Georgia Bright from the Start licensing regulations.

Be responsible for the safety and welfare of children in your care. Plan and implement methods to provide constant supervision of each child.

Keep classroom and resources and supply areas clean and orderly.

Greet each child while conducting an inconspicuous health check.

Encourage mealtime to be a pleasant social and learning experience by engaging in conversation with children during meals while acting as a positive role model.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Teaching Certificate or Child Development Associate Certificate with two (2) plus years of experience

Demonstrated track record of dealing with diverse demographic

Excellent listening skills and a teachable spirit with the ability to learn from others

Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite applications; and experience working in a donor database, Salesforce experience preferred

Creative and critical thinker

Demonstrated ability to work in a licensed, quality-rated center

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a group/class setting

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Certification or License Requirements:

Valid Adult & Infant CPR/First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and/or walking)

Must be able to communicate accurate information

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
Environmental Job Requirements:

Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions during events

Moderate noise as in any childcare environment
