As a Laser Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing facility, ensuring the precision and efficiency of laser systems used in various applications. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and troubleshooting laser equipment, as well as providing technical support to enhance operational excellence. What you’ll do
- Operate and maintain laser cutting and engraving systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair laser equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Collaborate with the technical sales team to provide insights on product capabilities and customer needs.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and manage maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Utilize your knowledge of hydraulics and HVAC/R systems to support integrated machinery operations.
- Provide field service support, addressing customer inquiries with exceptional customer service skills.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Train team members on safe operation procedures for scissor lifts and other machinery.
Basic qualifications
- Solid mechanical knowledge with industrial mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, and experience with ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated processes.
- Strong analytical skills to assess equipment functionality and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in welding techniques relevant to laser applications.
- Background in industrial electrician roles or military experience related to technical fields.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, enhancing your ability to work across various technical domains.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
