The Marketing Engagement Manager owns digital revenue growth and audience engagement through email marketing and fundraising platforms across Atlanta Humane Society, Operation Humane, and Remedy.
This role leads lifecycle marketing strategies for donors, adopters, volunteers, and event participants, driving acquisition, retention, and long-term connection through personalized, data-driven communication. Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Development Stewardship Team, this role ensures a cohesive approach to engagement that drives both immediate action and sustained loyalty.
Duties and Responsibilities
Email Marketing and Automations
- Build, schedule, test, and deploy email campaigns across Salesforce Account Engagement (for Atlanta Humane and Operation Humane) and Mailchimp (for Remedy).
- Segment lists and manage audience targeting to ensure relevant and accurate distribution.
- Test and troubleshoot deliverability issues or other platform concerns that arise.
- Maintain email calendars and ensure deadlines are met for scheduled sends.
- Ensure constituent data flows correctly into Account Engagement for segmentation and targeting.
- Process opt-out requests and maintain compliance with email marketing regulations.
- Assist with lead generation data pulls and imports.
Online Fundraising and Donation Pages
- Create, update, and maintain donation pages across GoFundMe Pro (formerly Classy) and Kindful.
- Serve as the primary internal administrator for the GoFundMe Pro and Kindful accounts, including troubleshooting, user support, and platform maintenance.
- Build and format campaign pages to align with branding and fundraising goals.
- Support all fundraising campaigns, including peer-to-peer.
Performance Reporting and Optimization
- Track and analyze performance across email, fundraising platforms, and audience engagement.
- Measure success across key metrics including conversions, revenue, retention, and engagement.
- Identify trends and opportunities, making real-time optimizations to improve results.
- Develop regular reporting and insights to inform strategy and support data driven decision making.
- Focus on increasing long term loyalty, repeat donations, and sustained audience connection.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Marketing Engagement Manager oversees the Marketing Engagement Coordinator, guiding stewardship efforts that complement digital strategies and deepen relationships through thoughtful, human-centered experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2 to 5 years of experience executing email marketing campaigns.
- Hands on experience using email marketing and marketing automation platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and ensure accuracy in formatting, links, and segmentation.
- Experience using Salesforce and Account Engagement highly preferred.
- Passion for animal welfare and alignment with Atlanta Humane Society’s mission.
- Supervisory experience preferred, with the ability to guide and support direct reports.
- Ability to commute to Atlanta Humane’s locations as needed.
