Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About The Role
As the Senior Manager, IT Applications, you will help to create and shape the vision, strategy, and evolution of the Food Bank’s business-critical application ecosystem. This role ensures that the tools our teams rely on every day are stable, secure, scalable, and aligned with the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
You will oversee the lifecycle of core applications, strengthen internal processes, and build strong partnerships across departments to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. You will directly support a small applications team (Application Analyst and Application Administrator) while also working closely with developers, analysts, and external partners to deliver high-quality, user-friendly systems.
Your work will directly impact how efficiently the Food Bank operates—ultimately helping us serve our community better.

What You’ll Do
- Manage Applications’ Lifecycle & Performance,
- Lead the full lifecycle of internal applications, from planning and development to testing, deployment, and support
- Maintain and update the organization’s application roadmap, aligning projects with business needs and strategic goals
- Evaluate and implement tools and technologies that improve application performance and team productivity
- Monitor application health and resolve technical issues to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Gather and refine requirements in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs
- Oversee quality assurance for code deployments and support continuous integration processes
- Apply knowledge of DevOps practices to improve deployment and development workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and software providers, ensuring service quality and accountability
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging consistent coding practices and team learning
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements in partnership with stakeholders
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support of the team’s day-to-day activities.

Requirements
What You’ll Need: Skills and experiences your resume should demonstrate:
- Ability to demonstrate technical expertise in application development, preferably in programming languages (e.g. .NET, Python)
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, and experience in applying them in projects
- Knowledge of i relational databases and experience with database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL)
- Familiarity with web technologies, web services (REST, SOAP), and cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud)
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Dataverse, MS Dynamics CRM
- Robust background supporting or leading HRIS, ERP (Netsuite, WAER, Manhattan),or CRM systems.
