Position Summary
Join a vibrant, fast-paced team that keeps the Garden buzzing, serving great food, great coffee, and even better hospitality every day. As a Quick Cafe Associate, you'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, serving food and beverages quickly and accurately, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and operating the cash register.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and efficiently
- Take and process orders accurately and quickly
- Answer customer questions about the menu and specials
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
- Ensure customer satisfaction with food and service
Food and Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ensure food and beverage items are fresh and properly stored
Sales Transactions:
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently
- Handle credit card transactions
- Balance the drawer at the end of the shift
Maintenance and Cleaning:
- Clean tables, counters, and other surfaces
- Wipe down spills and clean up trash
- Restock supplies as needed
- Ensure the cafe is clean, safe, and welcoming for customers
Other Duties:
- Assist with other tasks as needed, such as stocking shelves, organizing inventory, or helping with special events
- Follow all safety and hygiene procedures
- Be familiar with and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and able to handle customer interactions effectively. Basic menu knowledge and a general knowledge of the Garden and restaurant
- Communication Skills: Able to clearly and concisely communicate with customers and coworkers. Positive interpersonal skills required
- Basic Math Skills: Able to accurately calculate change and perform basic math calculations
- Physical Stamina: Able to stand for extended periods of time and move around quickly. Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
- Multitasking Skills: Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to Detail: Able to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy in food and beverage orders
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Able to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace
- Teamwork: Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility: Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
