Description
The Gainesville Glows Guest Experience Associate is a part time seasonal team member supporting ticketing sales, admission to the event, will call tickets, gift shop sales, merchandise cart sales and various other duties. This is a customer-facing role requiring flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet arriving guests
- Maintain orderly lines
- Scan tickets
- Assist with will-call tickets
- Process all admission Point of Sale (POS) transactions and functions
- Promote and actively sell annual garden memberships
- Assist guests with Gift Shop purchases both inside and outside from the merchandise carts
- Answer guest questions
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred 1 year of retail experience
- Strong customer service skills; experience working in a customer-focused capacity
- Flexibility of schedule to work shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Experience with POS systems preferred
- Multi-tasking and organizational abilities
- Basic math and computer skills required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand/walk 90% of time
- Position requires visual acuity to read details presented on a computer screen
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and card swipe reader
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
