AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 to join our Raleigh, NC office.
Your role
- Work alongside traffic engineers to compile and analyze data for reports and presentations to North Carolina Department of Transportation staff.
- Perform field data collection of traffic data.
- Assist with drafting technical reports and presentations based on data analysis to allow the North Carolina Department of Transportation to make data-driven decisions.
- Assist with writing code, scripts, or algorithms to analyze raw data for reports and graphics.
- EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
- EXPERIENCE: No experience is required if accepted into an Associate'S or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
- PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None required.
