What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney - Single Plaintiff Employment Litigation position at ATKINSON ANDELSON LOYA RUUD & ROMO APC?
Single Plaintiff Employment Litigation Associate Attorney (3-7 years)
Seeking associates/senior counsel with employment litigation experience, including:
- Defending single plaintiff harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims, charges, and lawsuits in state and federal court
- Defending complaints and charges before the CRD, EEOC, and/or California Labor Commissioner
- General employment-related advice and counsel
- Preparing and responding to discovery requests
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Law and motion work: preparing and responding to dispositive motions, moving to compel arbitration, and discovery-related motions
- Preparing case evaluations for clients
- Proactive handling and/or management of cases
- Preparing for and attending mediations, preparing mediation briefs
- Attending court hearings, status conferences, arguing dispositive motions
- Arbitration and trial experience
- Excellent research and writing skills
Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the State of California.
