What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at Atkins Family Pharmacy?
The job duties of certified pharmacy tech include the following:
- Preparation of medications for patients
- Receiving and verifying the prescriptions
- Pricing and filling of prescriptions
- Obtaining pharmacist’s approval
- Completing patient paperwork related to the filling of prescription
- Assisting with insurance claims processing
- Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory
- Maintaining pharmacy’s (and its patients’ employees’) safety by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations
We are looking for someone to work full-time in our Center Point location, as well as filling in in Central City and Atkins as need arises.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Iowa Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
- PTCB or NHA Certification (Preferred)
