Overview
The software migration project coordinator coordinates all aspects of a software or data migration, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet goals. Key responsibilities include coordinating technical teams, tracking project progress, managing communication between software support and internal staffs, and facilitating testing and data validation. This role requires strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
Core Responsibilities
- Project coordination: Manage project timelines, tasks, and resources; act as the main point of contact between different departments, technical teams, and internal staffs.
- Communication and reporting: Liaise with business units to schedule migrations, prepare and distribute status reports, and facilitate regular meetings to ensure alignment.
- Logistics and planning: Coordinate the logistics of migrations, support the creation of migration plans, and help define migration requirements.
- Testing and validation: Coordinate testing procedures, monitor data synchronization, and perform data quality checks and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Issue resolution: Track risks, blockers, and issues, and drive their resolution across technical and non-technical teams.
- Documentation and training: Support the creation of technical documentation and assist in developing and delivering end-user training materials.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, dependencies, and moving parts of a complex project.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues, mitigate risks, and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
- Technical understanding: A solid grasp of the technical aspects of software and data migration to effectively coordinate with technical teams.
- Organize, create and update documents: Sort, label, and archive documents by date, or by content. Add new information to records and update existing ones.
- Store documents/data: Keep and file documents/data in designated locations as instructed.
- Convert documents/data: Convert documents/data to electronic formats in the new software using data entry, scanning or exporting.
- Provide administrative support by conducting research, filling out government registration, and submitting reports or requirement documents.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date AP/AR records.
- Problem solving: Identifying root causes and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancy and retention efforts.
Required Skills
- Experience in bookkeeping is highly desirable.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, dependencies, and moving parts of a complex project.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues, mitigate risks, and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
- Technical understanding: A solid grasp of the technical aspects of software and data migration to effectively coordinate with technical teams.
- Analytical mind with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems, Microsoft Office and Outlook. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop or similar graphics design software.
Job Type: Full-time, 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday during 9-5 office hours.
