What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional EHS and Safety Manager position at ATI Restoration?

Key Responsibilities:
- EHS Program Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs tailored to the specific needs of ATI’s construction and mitigation projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to protect workers and the environment.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all construction and mitigation activities comply with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Prepare and submit required documentation, including safety plans, incident reports, and audits.
- Training and Development:
- Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees and subcontractors involved in construction and mitigation projects.
- Ensure all personnel are trained in safe work practices, emergency response procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to site EHS professionals, fostering a consistent application of safety standards across all projects.
- Incident Management:
- Lead investigations into EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage the documentation and reporting of all incidents, ensuring timely and accurate communication with relevant Management.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and drills, ensuring readiness for potential incidents.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze EHS data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement initiatives to enhance EHS performance, including the adoption of new technologies or best practices.
- Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes, adjusting EHS programs as needed.
- Project Support and Collaboration:
- Work closely with Regional Managers, Project Directors, Project Managers, and site supervisors to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure they align with EHS requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, providing EHS guidance and support throughout all phases of construction and mitigation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety (Preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within the construction or mitigation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs across multiple sites.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- OSHA 500 Certification
- Ability to travel within the region as required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and walking on uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally and wear required PPE.
Work Environment:
- The role involves working in both office settings and on active construction sites.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and potential environmental hazards is expected.
