Key Responsibilities
· Hands-on Skills
· Proficiency in Python and AI libraries (PyTorch, scikit‑learn); experience with data‑processing frameworks (Pandas)
· Strong development practices (version control, CI/CD, testing); familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms
· Proven track record building end‑to‑end AI solutions
· Strategic Leadership
· Define and communicate a multi‑year AI strategy that supports the company’s overall mission and growth targets.
· Prioritize AI initiatives based on market opportunity, technical feasibility, and ROI.
· Serve as the primary liaison between AI teams and C‑suite executives, translating technical concepts into business outcomes.
· Team Building & Management
· Recruit, mentor, and retain world‑class AI researchers, engineers, data scientists, and product leads.
· Foster cross‑functional collaboration with product, engineering, data, security, legal, and compliance groups.
· Program Oversight
· Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI projects—from ideation and research through prototyping, production deployment, and post‑launch monitoring.
· Implement robust MLOps practices, ensuring models are reproducible, scalable, and maintainable.
· Allocate resources (budget, compute, talent) efficiently across research, development, and operational teams.
· Ethics, Governance, & Compliance
· Define and enforce AI ethics guidelines covering fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy.
· Ensure AI deployments comply with relevant regulations (GDPR, CCPA, sector‑specific standards).
Required Qualifications
· Experience – 10 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Director, Head of AI, VP of Machine Learning, etc.).
· Technical Depth – Proven expertise in modern AI methods (deep learning, large language models, computer vision, reinforcement learning, generative AI) and hands‑on experience building production‑grade systems.
· Leadership Acumen – Demonstrated ability to grow high‑impact teams, manage large budgets, and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
· Strategic Thinking – Track record of defining and executing AI roadmaps that deliver measurable business value.
· Communication Skills – Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and to champion AI initiatives at the executive level.
· Ethical Awareness – Strong understanding of AI ethics, responsible AI practices, and regulatory landscapes.
· Education – Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with a focus on AI/ML.
