Description:

The Retail Associate, Spring Training will support retail operations for the Athletics main Team Shop and satellite locations within Hohokam Stadium.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products; ensure a pleasant and personalized shopping experience.
• Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and promotions.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
• Operate cash register or POS system accurately.
• Process sales, exchanges, and returns according to store policy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor, fitting rooms, and displays.
• Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly tagged and priced.
• Participate in team meetings, briefings, and store events.
• Follow all store policies, including loss prevention and cash handling.
• Report suspicious activity or security concerns immediately.
• Occasionally assist with inventory-related tasks, including stock counting, receiving shipments, and supporting inventory audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be willing and able to work the entirety of the Spring Training season, from March through April.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems (preferably Square).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills (POS, cash handling).
• Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
• Willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Fast-paced retail environment requiring multitasking and teamwork.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
